Spring (April - June): The Game Fishing Awakening
Spring marks the arrival of large schools of giant bluefin tuna (*Thunnus thynnus*) to the waters of northern Mallorca. It is the peak time for heavy trolling and deep sea chumming charters. The first albacores (*Thunnus alalunga*) also begin to arrive.
Summer (July - September): The Golden Fishing Season
With warm waters, deep sea fishing operates at full steam. It is the optimal season for giant tuna, night swordfish drifting, and by late summer (August-September) the spectacular mahi-mahi (llampuga) season begins, offering highly fun and visual fishing.
Autumn (October - December): Coastal Trolling and Jigging
Autumn is fantastic for coastal fishing of amberjack (*Seriola dumerili*), snapper (*Dentex dentex*), and seabass using live bait trolling and deep jigging techniques around Cape Formentor's reefs.
